Snow on the Equator

10.01.2019

From Camping in the Mara to Conquering Mount Kenya we recently embarked on an unforgettable Christmas safari with repeat guests, an experience that left us with many cherished memories.

It’s difficult to pick a single highlight, as there were so many breathtaking moments. We hiked up the Ololoo Escarpment, where we were treated to stunning views of the Greater Mara. We explored a rocky gorge, drove through lush green countryside, and spotted herds of zebras. However, the most beautiful moment came during a sudden rainstorm when we encountered a group of lions playing in a puddle. It was like something out of a fairytale. Ninian Jamey and our guests embarked on a five-day trek up Mount Kenya, reaching Point Lenana on New Year’s Eve morning. Standing at the top of the world, taking in the enormous view below, was a truly inspiring way to end 2018.

Browse through a few photos from the safari, and allow yourself to be transported to our world.
