On arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will receive a VIP meet and assist service, ensuring a smooth transition through arrivals. You will then meet your driver, who will take you to the Hemingways Hotel.
A Hemingways Hotel driver will take you to the nearby Wilson airport to fly to Lewa Conservancy with Ninian the following day. Here, you will stay at Lewa Wilderness. Lewa is a private conservancy run by the Nature Conservancy. You will see wildlife endemic to northern Kenya and black and white rhinos. Lewa Wilderness is one of our favourite places to stay on Lewa - the Craigs have created a very inviting space - an extension of their family home that is comfortable without being over the top. They have horse stables, and you can also walk there. You will have a helicopter to explore further north.
On the 24th you will fly to the Mara Triangle where you will stay four nights in our private mobile camp.
Say farewell to Ninian and fly to Rwanda - we have included a private charter flight from the Mara to Kigali via Kisumu as this is the quickest way to get you there without an extra overnight stop in either Nairobi or Kigali. On arrival you will be met and driven to Singita Kwitonda Lodge at the base of the Virunga Mountains. It is a prettythree-hour drive through rolling hills covered in farms. You will have a private car. You will spend three nights at Kwitonda, which will be your base for two gorilla treks, which will take place on the 29th and 30th. (Gorilla permits are subject to availability and can't be held without full payment. Currently there are over 60 permits available on both days).
On the 31st you will be driven back to Kigali to connect with a scheduled flight to the Southern Serengeti - you will stop in Mwanza for customs and immigration. The Songa Migration camp team will meet you upon arrival. The hope is to catch the migration.
On the last day, you will fly by private charter back to Nairobi. We can arrange day rooms if your flight departs late at night, allowing you to relax and freshen up before your journey.
