On arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, we will book an exclusive VIP meet and greet service; they will assist you through arrivals and immigration. A Hemingways driver will take you to the Hemingways Hotel.
The next day, a Hemingways Hotel driver will take you to the nearby Wilson airport for your flight by scheduled air service to Samburu. On arrival, Ninian will meet you to game drive to Shaba National Reserve, where you will stay in our mobile camp, which we will set up overlooking a pretty spring. The camp will be home base, and we will have a helicopter come into camp on the 22nd to explore further north on the 23rd (we have included 6 hours of flying time).
You will game drive back to the airstrip in Samburu to connect with a scheduled flight to Nairobi that departs at 11.15 and gets into Nairobi Wilson airport at 13.25. You will be met and driven to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on arrival. We suggest you book the Kenya Airways flight to Kigali, which departs at 17.30 and arrives in Kigali at 18.00 local time. On arrival you will be met and taken to Kigali Serena for two nights. You will have a car at your disposal for the day of the 25th.
After 2 nights in Kigali, you will head to Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge at the base of the Virunga Mountains. It is a three-hour drive through rolling hills covered in farms. You will have a private car. You will spend three nights at Sabyinyo, your base for two gorilla treks, which will take place on the 27th and 28th. (Gorilla permits are subject to availability and can't be held without full payment. Currently, 95 permits are available on both days).
After three nights at Sabyinyo, you will drive back to Kigali to fly by scheduled service with Auric Air to Seronera in the Eastern Serengeti, stopping in Mwanza for customs and immigration. The flight departs from Kigali at 12.15 and arrives at Seronera at 16.30 local time. On arrival at Seronera airstrip, your Namiri guide will meet you and drive you to the camp. The game drive will take approximately two hours. You will stay in one of the two-bedroom Retreats. The predator densities in the Eastern Serengeti are incredible, especially for lions and cheetahs. At this time of year, we hope you will catch the migration. You will have a private car for your game drives.
On May 2nd you will be driven back to Seronera to fly by scheduled air service to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect with your flight home. Once you settle on flights we can add a day room if you need one.

Wilderness Sabyinyo Lodge

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is situated in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains on the edge of the Parc National des Volcans. The lodge sits at an altitude of 8,250 feet, with fabulous views of the volcanoes, mountains and countryside. Sabyinyo is a great lodge to stay at as a base for trekking to see the gorillas, as it is just a 20-minute drive from the national park headquarters, where you start the gorilla treks each morning.
