On arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Greg, Melissa, and Charlotte arrive on the 22nd, Rory and Patrick on the 23rd and Andrea and Tom on the 25th) , you will receive a VIP meet and assist service. You will then meet your driver, who will take you to the Hemingways Hotel.
On the 26th you will be transferred to Wilson Airport with Ninian for a private charter flight to Kihihi in Uganda. From here you will drive (approximately an hour) to Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge for three nights with gorilla treks on August 27th and 28th.
On the 29th, you will drive back to Kihihi airstrip to fly to Entebbe airport, where you will exit Uganda, and fly by private charter to Lusaka in Zambia. The flight will take approximately two hours 40 minutes nonstop using a Learjet. On arrival at Lusaka, after clearing customs and immigration, you will be transferred to a domestic charter flight to Jeki airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park, a 30-minute flight from Lusaka International Airport. You will have three nights at Lolebezi Camp where we are holding the family suite with two rooms and three signature suites.
On September 1st you will fly from Jeki to Livingstone. The flight will take approximately one hour and 56 minutes. On arrival, you will be met and transferred by road across the Victoria Falls Bridge into Zimbabwe - you will do customs and immigration on either side of the bridge, exiting Zambia and entering Zimbabwe. We suggest stopping off to see Falls before going on to stay the night at Mpala Jena. Mike Pelham will join you at Mpala Jena - he will be going on to Somalisa with you when Ninian leaves.
The next day, Ninian will head back to Nairobi, and you will fly by private charter to Hwange National Park to stay at Somalisa camp where you will have Somalisa Acacia camp to yourselves (including Mike). There are 2 x 2 bedroom family suites and 2 x 1 bedrooms suites. Mike will be in one of the one bedroom suites.
On September 6th, you will return to Victoria Falls by private charter to connect with your flight to Johannesburg.
