This option starts at the Four Points Hotel at the airport in Nairobi, Kenya. After a night at the Four Points, you will transfer to Wilson Airport to fly on a scheduled flight  to Naboisho Conservancy in the Greater Mara ecosystem. I think you last stayed at Encounter Mara here, so staying at Naboisho Camp will feel like a nice upgrade, and the wildlife is just amazing. You will have two full days of looking for wildlife, and Naboisho Conservancy is still one of the best places in the world to see predators and general wildlife. The animals we see here will help hold the safari newbies through the next ten days when animals will be more scarce, and we will focus more on primates.

We will fly by scheduled flight directly from the Mara to Entebbe in Uganda via Kisumu for customs and immigration. Once in Entebbe, we will board another flight from Entebbe to Kasese, where the River Sation team will meet us and transfer us to the lodge on the Kazinga Channel. The River Station is a new lodge in the Kyambura Reserve, so we are not very likely to see too many other tourists here. The lodge has excellent views of the channel. It's quite fun getting there, and the journey takes you through spectacular country. We will take a short boat trip on the Kazinga Channel to get to the lodge. We have three nights here and will spend some time on day and night game drives. We should see lots and lots of elephants and, if we are lucky, some lions too. On one of the days, we will try a chimp trek in the Kalinzu Forest.

After three nights at The River Station, we will move to the Mahogany Springs Lodge in Bwindi. This mid-level lodge is sweet and humble but well located just 2 kilometres outside the park, with easy access to the Park Headquarters for the days we go gorilla trekking. We have three nights here to allow us to do two gorilla treks. For those who are nature and primate crazy, we can do extra hikes in the forest during the afternoon to see more primates.

After three nights at the Mahogany Springs Lodge, we will drive to Rwanda and stay at the Gorilla Mountain View Lodge ( not to see gorillas ); this will be a long day with about 5 hours of driving, stopping at the Cyanika Border post for immigration and customs. We will stay for just one night; the following day, we will go on a Golden Monkey trek and return to the lodge for lunch before driving to Kigali to catch a commercial flight to Nairobi, where you will stay at the Four Points at the hotel for the night. This will be a very, very long day.

The next day, say farewell to Ninian and you will catch a short flight down to Lamu, where the Manda Bay Team will be waiting for you and will whisk you to Manda Bay on a forty-minute boat ride. Manda should be idyllic in March
