This option starts in Entebbe in, Uganda. After a night at the Protea Entebbe Hotel, we would fly by scheduled flight out to Kasese, where the River Station Team would meet us and drive/boat us to the River Station on the Kazinga Channel. The River Station is a new lodge in the Kyambura Reserve, so we are not very likely to see too many other tourists here. The lodge has excellent views of the channel. It's quite fun getting there, and the journey takes you through spectacular country. We will take a short boat trip on the Kazinga Channel to get to the lodge. We have three nights here and will spend some time on day and night game drives. We should see lots and lots of elephants and, if we are lucky, some lions too. On one of the days, we will try a chimp trek in the Kalinzu Forest.

After three nights at The River Station, we will move to the Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge. This mid-level lodge is very basic but well located just 2 kilometres outside the park, with easy access to the Park Headquarters for the days we go gorilla trekking. We have three nights here to allow us to do two gorilla treks. For those who are nature and primate crazy, we can do extra hikes in the forest during the afternoon to see more primates.

After three nights at the Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, we will fly back to Entebbe and on to Tanzania by scheduled flight to Ubuntu Camp in southern Serengeti, Tanzania. The flight will go via Mwanza for customs and immigration. Ubuntu should, in March, be in a great position to catch up to the great wildebeest migration on the short grass plains of the Southern Serengeti. For those on their first or second safari, this will be a great chance to see lots of wildlife and predators.

After a few nights at Ubuntu, you will say farewell to Ninian and fly by two scheduled hops ( one is quite long ) to Pemba Island, one of the more remote, less visited islands of the Zanzibar archipelago. Once you land at Pemba you will be driven to the lodge this will take about 1.5 hours.

On the 21st you will fly to Dar es Salaam via Zanzibar to connect with your onward flight home. You could also fly to Nairobi from Zanzibar but we can tweak this once you settle on your international flights.
