Shipwreck Lodge is a unique and remote lodge located in the heart of Namibia, right on the edge of the Skeleton Coast National Park.
The lodge is named after the many shipwrecks that have occurred along this stretch of coastline, known for its harsh conditions and strong winds. The area is both rugged and beautiful, with dramatic landscapes that include vast sand dunes, desolate beaches, and scattered shipwreck remains.
The lodge itself is built to blend into the environment, with 10 individual cabins designed to look like the remains of old ships. Each cabin is thoughtfully furnished with modern comforts, offering stunning views of the stark coastline or the dramatic dunes.
Guests at Shipwreck Lodge can enjoy a range of activities such as scenic nature drives within the northern Skeleton Coast National Park, exploring the desert on quad bikes, sundowner drives to the dune field and bird watching. The region is home to unique wildlife, including desert-adapted elephants, lions, and numerous bird species.
