Koros Camp is well off the beaten track, nestled amongst the hills at the northern end of the South Horr Valley. Located a short distance from Lake Turkana, Koros offers guests a perfect base to explore this remote region by helicopter.
With just 6 thatched rooms, Koros is designed for small groups looking for a unique wilderness experience. Bookings are exclusive, and tents can be configured with either twin or double beds. Canvas and shade- net sides open up and solar fans keep the rooms surprisingly cool even on the hottest of days.
The rooms each have their own ensuite bathroom facilities including hot showers and flush loos.
The open-plan and airy mess area is used for meals and relaxation. The bar is located here too, there are books to read, games to play, and comfy seating to siesta on.
This simple little camp is super basic, but the showers are hot, the staff are a willing and the food is good.
